Could someone confirm that the above picture is actually the coast guards cottages as I have just returned from portnoo & was shown the sight of the station by locals who told me that the original building was blown us by the IRA in the 1920s. It was much further up the hill than these cottages which are still standing today. My interest is that my gg grandfather was stationed here in the 1830s his name was Nathaniel Webb. Jenny
