 Marriage Thomas Ware to Alice Hays 1836, County Clare

Very excited. Randomly looked at marriages on the site. I believe the marriage of Thomas Ware, is possibly my grx3 grandfather. His name has been spelt in many ways Weir/Wear etc. He was stationed in County Clare between 1833 and 1837. If it is, I think this must be a second marriage, as his son was born around 1823. Alice's date of birth is registered as around 1811 in the 1851 Census in Kent. My question is, that against the father's name it says n/a, does that mean she was illegitimate or maybe a widow? Is there anyone who can throw some light on this please? Also is there a site where I could get any more information on this? |
