My ggfather was born in madras in india in 1863. I have his navy record, no idea why he was born there, I have found no other records at all. However, I can find no record of his son William George born about 1895 apparently in Ireland, when his father was a coastguard. Johns naval record does show him in Ireland at that time on the Kingstown in Ballymoney. I can found nothing at all, can anyone help please. |

Hi,I do not have any information on John Robert Jones, Coastguard, unfortunately. However Ballymoney Coastguard station is located in Co.Wexford in the Kingstown District which covers all stations on the East coast and down around the south to include Co.Cork. The Limerick Division covers from Co.Kerry up along the West coast of Ireland. Tony |
