Hi Im trying to find our about my paternal grandfather born in Padstow? and married to a Bridget nee Early of Black Sod who remarried and died and was buried in Fallmore cemetery. I know Bridget who died in 1992 was stationed with her husband possibly in Tresco but was "burnt out" by the Black and Tans . Ethna Mathews

Ethna As per my PM I believe your grandfather was a Royal Marine prior to entering the CG Service. Using this as a starting point I had a look at ADM 175/90 RM entries into the CG. On pdf 220 I found Hubert Robert Scantlebury, and his wife is recorded as Bridget.
