 Kinsale and Castletownshead Coastguard station.

Can anyone give me any info about what happened to the Coastguard Station(s) in/near Kinsale, Cork? My great grandparents were in the south of Ireland from about 190O with great grandfather William in both Castletownshead and Kinsale. Grandfather John Francis was born at Summer Cove, Kinsale in 1904. I thought my greatgrandmother had moved to the Isle of Wight with the outbreak of WWI but my mother tells me that it was because they were burnt out of their home? Any thoughts would be welcome. |
