I am researching the above person. Born Ladysbridge Co Cork 12th April 1865. I know in 1901 Census he is listed as a Naval Pensioner. On obtaining his service record from Government Archives in Kew Gardens, London. He has 10 years service from 1884 to 1894. All ships listed to name a few are INDUS, HIMALAYA, BELLISLE, BRISK, BOADICEA, HIBERNIA, SIRIUS, VIVID2, HOWE, LAPWING. These vessels do not have the prefix HMS, so I am inclined to presume they may have been COASTGUARD!! I would appreciate if anyone could enlighten me and help me in my search. THANK YOU in anticipation |

Hi again! No all of these are warships, except Vivid2 which is a landbase. Below is a link to an excellent website that will provide details of each ship. http://www.pbenyo...Index.html Martin |
