Hi We are trying to trace our family history back and looking for any records on my husbands great grandfather GEORGE BICKLEY COLE. We know he was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland in February 1866. He was a coastguard at Roches Point in 1901 but unsure of the dates. If anyone could help with any records we would be very grateful. We have been unable to trace his birth records and therefore do not know his parents names but his father may have also been a coastguard in Cork. Thank you |

Hi As a starting point you might like to download his Service Record. This will not provide any family information, but it will help you establish where he was in a particular year. http://www.nation...ultcount=1 Martin |

He recieved the Beitish War medal and RN Long Service Medal. The LS medal was issued in 1916 - which in his case is unusual. Ken |
