 John Flynn at Roberts Cove 1881

I've got a brief reference to a John Flynn, HM Coastguard, who was awarded a Lloyds Medal for Saving Life at Sea in bronze, I believe on 30.11.1881 for a rescue at Robert’s Cove. Lloyds archives should have something on the award, but I'm hoping that in advance of that some members here may be able to throw up something on his CG career or indeed anything on him...
