If a coastguardin Ireland is drowned on service will his record state " Drowned at So & SO" or will it always say "Discharged Dead at Station"? I assume there was a daily log at each station - are they archived anywhere? |

Roger I'm afraid the amount of detail on the records is rather hit and miss. I did check ADM 175/54, which is the Establishment Book for the Limerick CG District that includes Rutland, but this only confirmed the notation DD 5 Oct 1875 at station. Martin |
