"CREA, Thos"
Stephen_Shafer
Hello, I'm new to this craft. Asking for help tracking the places stationed of Thomas Crea, born Ireland about 1805, who was in the CG in England in the 1830s in the Solent and IOW area. He was transferred from Hastings in 1842 to Casleh Bay Ireland. I found him in ADM 175/6 but am told that CGmen stationed in Ireland won't be found in the successor to volume 175/6, that I need to search somewhere else. Suggestions welcome. Thanks,
Stephen in Saugerties New York USA

Hi Stephen, and welcome to the Forum.

You are on the right track, however, the Irish Establishment Books are still in ADM 175, but do not follow on from the English books.

To make your search easier I would suggest that you look under the 'Articles' link on the left, and then click on the 'ADM Project', this will provide you with an index to ADM 175 for the Irish CG stations. For 1845 you will need to start with ADM 175/19 (page 207 of 472).

Best of luck, and do ask if you have a problem.

Regards

Martin
