im trying to find out info on my relation thomas dunne he was a h m coast guard at waterford in 1911 by the cencus but id love to know more about him any help would be great he was born in 1870 ish |

Hi, and welcome to the Forum. A check of the service records at the National Achives reveals a likely candidate. This can be downloaded for a small fee (£3.50). http://www.nation...ultcount=6 The other route you might like to try is to download the record cards for CG men D-F for the period 1900-1923. This can be done for free from the NA website; the document reference is ADM 175/82B. However, broadband is essential, because they are very big files. If he does have a record card, it will also contain information about his family, which can be useful. Regards Martin |
