I have in my collection the british War medal and EV11 RN LSGC Medal to R A Morton, I have just found your excellent site and was wondering if you could help me with a couple of questions, What does Co Btm stand for in his rank? I have also learnt that he received a RHS Testimonial. What is the testimonial was it an award or a certificate? Regards James Edited by James_harvey on 30/07/2009 12:51 |

Hi James, and welcome to the Forum. It's good to have another medal collector active on the site. In answer to one of your questions 'Co Btn' is a 'Commissioned Boatman' and equates to the rank of Petty Officer within the CG Service. On your question about the RHS you will have to wait for Roger who is our resident expert on all things RHS! Regards Martin |
