I am still pursuing every avenue to find more info for James Ost C.G. I have unearthed family scribbles stating that he was at one time or another, the Harbour Master at Wicklow, Wexford and Cork.....though presumably not at the same time. As we now know that he died in 1829 in Cork , is there any possibility that he might have held any of those positions before that date ? Does anyone know how to find lists of Harbour Masters in Ireland, that could possibly be consulted on-line, please? Or are there any researchers 'out there' who might have him on their list ? We would be most appreciative of any help......Kilmeny |
