Hi Helen There was no Thomas David Buike serving at Mullaghmore in 1858. However, if this date were a date of birth then he could be another of John Buike's sons? Martin |

Sorry Martin- yes, I believe 1858 to be his year of birth, and am hoping he is related to John- but can find no trace of him as a coastguard through the National Archives. The Buike, Buick, Buik, Buke, Buck surname is proving difficult. We are lucky enough to have a Susan Buike /William Cooper wedding party photo taken 1894 Sussex, along with a newspaper cutting listing the wedding party- we have successfully identified everyone in the party except a Mrs T Buike. Until now we couldn't find a related T Buike- so we are hoping this Thomas is the missing link. We are hoping his service record/ info can tie him to our family. Helen |
