Is this not the coastguard station at Rosslare? The station at Ballygeary is one of 5 built as a reaction to the Fenian emergency containing a massive tower. I'll send photographs.

I know the old coastguard houses overlooking Rosslare Hbr., having lived nearby for 30 years. One of them housed the local Garda Station at one stage. Very prominent position.

Rosslare, or as it is known correctly Rosslare Strand, had a Coastguard and Excise station on the ancient spit of land at the end of Rosslare Golf Course, known as the Fort of Rosslare, where many of the old lifeboat and lighthouse families were born.(Sheils, Walshes, Wickhams, Duggans, etc) It was washed away in a great storm in 1926, but some remains are visible at very low tide. The families moved to Rosslare Harbour, which had been opened as a proper port in 1906.
